First Revealed to the world last January, Mini has now launched the 2018 Cooper range in India and is available in three new colours Starlight blue, Solaris orange and Emerald grey.
Mini’s new Cooper range is available in three door, five door and convertible body styles. Mini Coopers always stay chic and retro when it comes to styling, however they now get a new Mini logo, circular LED headlamps and amazing looking Jack Union inspired taillamps. The interior has been updated with piano black finish for the centre console, new three spoke steering wheel with integrated multifunction controls and new brown leather upholstery.
Mini is also offering a full load of optional equipment like 6.5 inch touchscreen for the instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay, 12 speaker Harman Kadon system, sunroof, matrix led lighting, Mini Wired pack which adds an 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Mini connected apps, wireless charging 20GD internal storage and two usb slots.
Speaking of the engine, the Mini Cooper can be had with a petrol engine in the Convertible and three door form, the five door is powered by just one diesel motor option. The Mini Convertible is powered by the same 2.0 litre 192 bhp and 280nm torque but is now mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Cooper D draws its power from the 1.5 litre three cylinder turbocharged motor churns out 114 bhp and 270nm torque. This engine gets three driving modes Standard, Green and Sport and comes mated to a six speed automatic gearbox.
