Skoda Auto has re-launched the hotly anticipated Octavia VRS in India with a price tag of Rs 36 lakhs (ex showroom prices). Interestingly this is the last generation of the current Octavia VRS to be sold, before the new model arrives to our shores.
Being a full import, the 2020 Octavia VRS has been brought via the CBU route and is based on the Europe spec car. in terms of styling it does not stray to away from the sporty looks the Octavia VRS always came with, the car still gets a blacked out front grille with VRS logo, more sporty design for the front and rear bumpers and a bootlid spoiler. However what’s different this time around are 18-inch dual tone alloy wheels with red brake callipers.
The interior on the other hand gets the same full black treatment with Alcantara leather wrapped seats and red contrast stitching and RS logo enticed into the headrest. It also gets a flat bottom steering wheel and gear knob finish receive RS logos stamped into them. A new addition to the Octavia VRS 245 is an all digital instrument cluster, a feature many customers have been wanting desperately.
The 2020 Octavia VRS comes with a 2.0 litre engine that makes 245PS and 370Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and has a 0-100kmph dash in 6.6 seconds.
Bookings for the Octavia VRS begin on the 1st of March at 12pm which will be online only, however just 200 units have been imported for now.
