Tata Motors is also readying the Tigor facelift for launch in the coming weeks. Chances are that it could also be unveiled at the upcoming Delhi Auto Expo in Febuary.
The brochure scans of both the models have been leaked online thus giving a firsthand look at what to expect. New on the 2020 Tigor is a new honeycomb inspired front grille with silver accents, new chrome wrapped air dam, updated headlamp cluster, new fog lamp housings with daytime running lights, new taillamp clusters and updated roof spoiler mounted stop light. An updated set of alloy wheels will also be part of the package.
Like on the Tiago facelift, the Tigor too will get a new black and grey colour scheme for the dashboard and door pads, while gloss black A/C vents and the 7-inch touchscreen infortainment system are carried over. Also visible is newly designed seat fabric, digital instrument cluster and automatic A/C.
Powering the 2020 Tiago is currently powered by a 1.2 litre petrol motor that comes mated to 5-speed manual and AMT. This engine will be updated to BS6 norms when launched, with an increase in power and torque figures as well.
Tata will also be updated the paint scheme options in the Tigor’s line-up. The 2020 colour range includes Pure silver, Daytona grey, Pearlescent white, Deep red and Arizona blue.
Further down the line, the Tigor electric could also get the facelift treatment with similar styling and some unique electric bits expected. The interior too could be updated in the cause. However the bigger change could come from the battery that could be updated for delivering quicker charging and better range sometime in the future.
