Maruti Suzuki’s new generation Waganor has been leaked through a new video by Sheldon Rebello. The car was spotted doing rounds around the streets of Panjim and Torda Porvorim completely uncamofloged probably here for a photoshoot.
Speaking about its looks, Maruti’s all new Waganor packs in a modern design in the tallboy profile. The car spotted looks shorter than and has more rounded edges. Other interesting details worth mentioning would include the vertically placed taillamps and floating roof effect at the rear.
The interior hasn’t been spotted yet, but a closer look at the video that we have received does reveal a bright white light near the centre possibly holding the touchscreen infotainment system. While it’s still too early to predict the interior and space on offer, we would safely say the cabin will be roomier and come with plenty of goodies.
The 2019 Maruti Suzuki Waganor will also not be based on the Heartect platform like the Swift and Ertiga but instead use the current cars platform which could be upgraded to meet crash safety norms.
Under its hood, the 2019 Waganor could continue to source power from the same 1.0 litre 4 cylinder petrol motor but with retuned power and torque figures. On the transmission side, Maruti Suzuki could move a ladder by offering 6-speed manual alongside the AMT gearbox on sale currently.
The current Waganor on sale today was one of the most successful model with units sold well over millions. The company has also begun testing almost 50 pure electric Waganor cars for gaining crucial inputs and feedback before its market launch in 2020.
