BMW has launched the diesel powertrain for the 6 Series Gran Turismo in India. The diesel engine now joins the petrol car which was on offer at launch.
Under the hood is a 3.0 Litre twin power turbo diesel engine which churns out 195 bhp and 620 nm torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission and is capable of propelling the car from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds.
BMW is offering the 6GT in Luxury line or M Sport. The Luxury Line gets chrome for the Kidney grille, front bumper and rear apron. The 6GT also has luxury line designation on the sides. The new M Sport unlocks its sporty credentials with the M Sport package, with gloss black front grille, Key fob with exclusive M finish, illuminated M door sills, ‘M’ logo’s on the car, M sport brake callipers finished in dark blue metallic, soft close door and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The M aerodynamic package further accentuates the sporty credentials with front apron, side skirts and rear apron with diffuser finished in dark shadow metallic.
The 6 GT diesel is priced at Rs 66.50 lakhs for the luxury line and 73.70 lakhs for the M Sport and can be bought in any of the three colours Mineral white, Glacier silver, Mediterranean blue and Royal Burgundy Red.
