BMW has launched the new facelifted X1 in the market with a price tag of Rs 35.90 lakhs (ex showroom). The new updated SUV has also arrived in Goa in the meantime.
The handsome looking BMW X1 has got its first facelift ever since the second generation model was launched. However the 2020 version doesn’t stray too far from the older model in terms of profile and design characteristics. Yet it gets minor design updates in the form of a new kidney grille which is now larger in size, an updated headlamp cluster along with new LED headlamps and a new front bumper. The rear also gets minor updates in the form of revised taillamp clusters and an updated bumper as well.
The interior on the flipside now offers a plusher in cabin experience with new richer materials and seat upholstery. Buyers will generously appreciate the addition of the 10.25 inch touchscreen infortainment system, new ambient lighting for the cabin and the doors and a panoramic sunroof to the feature list of the BMW X1 facelift.
Powering the 2020 BMW X1 facelift are however the same 2.0 litre engines available in petrol and diesel guise. The 2.0 litre petrol churns out 192hp and 280Nm of torque, while the 2.0 litre diesel churns out 190hp and 400Nm of torque. Both engines are now BS6 spec and come mated to 8-speed automatic transmissions.
The BMW X1 facelift takes on the Audi Q3 and the soon to be launched next generation Mercedes Benz GLA.
