Datsun has launched that the GO and GO+ CVT priced at Rs 5.94 lakhs and Rs 6.58 lakhs respectively (ex showroom prices). The capable Datsun GO and GO+ now come with the convience of an automatic transmission apart from the manual on offer earlier.
Keeping an aim to take on the competition with the advantage of a CVT transmission, both the GO and the GO+ can be had only in top T and T (optional) trims. Hence both cars come loaded with kit such as a 7.0 inch touchscreen infortainment system, LED daytime running lights and 14-inch alloy wheels.
Mechanically both the GO and the GO+ mpv continue to be powered by the same three cylinder 1.2 lire petrol engine that is good for 68 bhp and 104 Nm of torque. Transmission options now include a 5-speed manual transmission and the new CVT as well.
Datsun had earlier equipeied both cars with vehicle dynamic control which is a first in segment feature. Also on offer are dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and many more.
In terms of competition, the Datsun GO rivals fresh competition from the Renault Kwid facelift, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso and Hyundai Santro, while the GO+ takes on the Triber from Renault.
