The year 2018 has been a busy year, with several new launches happening every second day, however it seems many of the car manufacturers have kept the eye candy for the festive season with many of the important and most awaited launches happening around the festive month. Here’s a list of the up-coming launches in October 2018.
Ford Aspire facelift 4Th October
Ford will launch the Aspire facelift on the 4th of October. The facelift will bring in a redesigned front end with new headlights and bumpers, but the big news is that the Aspire will come with a 6.5 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Engine options will most likely remain the same 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines.
Fifth generation Honda CR-V 9th October
The CR-V may have not tasted much success in India, but with the fifth generation, Honda is looking at creating quite a storm, the new CR-V will come coupled with seven seats and the all important diesel engine under the hood.
Mahindra XUV 700 9th October
Having just launched the Marazzo in India in September, Mahindra is gearing up to launch its flagship offering the XUV 700. The new XUV 700 will be Mahindra’s most expensive product yet and will be a full fledged 7 seater.
Powering the large SUV will be a 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine producing 187 and 420 Nm of torque. Transmission options should include a seven speed torque converter automatic as standard.
Mercedes Benz C class facelift 20th October
Mercedes Benz will bring in the facelifted C class in the Indian market on the 20th of October. The new C class will sport an all new 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel engines. Mercedes is also considering bringing the Coupe version to India that will be offered only in the 43AMG or 63AMG guise.
The German luxury car maker may also offer Cabriolet as a niece product in the C class line-up.
All new Hyundai Santro 23rd October
Dubbed as the next big product from Hyundai, the AH2 is expected to revive the Santro nameplate and has been the much awaited launch of the year, the new hatchback will have the tallboy design like its earlier iterations and slot between the Eon and the Grand i10. Engine options should include a 1.1 litre petrol engine with manual and AMT gearbox options.
