Honda achieves 1 Crore Customers Milestone in West Region in just three months

Continuing to win the hearts of its customers, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has successfully achieved 1 crore units mark in the Western region that includes Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa since inception in 2001. The two wheeler brand had earlier taken 14 years to hit to delight 50 lakh customers with the 50 Lakhs coming up in just three years.

Thanking customers for their trust and talking about this landmark feat, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said, “Honda family takes pride in welcoming 1 crore valued customers in West and thanks them for trusting Honda for their daily ride. Honda two wheelers have a market share of 47% in the marker and have been the preffered choice by many in the market with popular products like the Activa, Activa i and Dio tasting phenomenal success. The brand has announced that on an average 45% of the customers have bought scooters pan India.

With growing demand and model ranges, Honda has setup its 4th plant Vithalapur, Gujarat in 2016 with installed capacity of producing 1.2 million units and creating 15000 new jobs in Gujarat.

Honda two wheelers model range in the Indian market include a range of scooters and motorcycles. The scooter range includes the Activa—I, Activa 125, 5G Activa. Cliq, Navi, Dio, Aviator and Grazia. The motorcycle range includes the CB Hornet 160R, CB Hornet 160, CB Unicorn, CB Shine and CB Shine SP and recently introduced X-Blade. Honda also retails premium and fast sportbikes like the Goldwing, CB1000RR, CB1000R, CBR650F and Africa Twin.

Honda is also actively involved in CSR activities in the field of rural education, women empowerment and curbing child labour. Honda also runs a lot of Safety campaigns to promote the road safety; Honda has adopted a traffic park in Yeole, Nashik. Honda has also educated over 2 lakh individuals of all age groups in West region on safety riding activity with special focus on empowering females & kids.
