Honda has introduced a new top of the line Amaze Vx CVT priced at Rs 8, 56,000 and 9, 56,000 (ex showroom). The new grade will be available in petrol and diesel and will be sold alongside the S and V trims.
Speaking on the introduction of new top grade VX CVT in Honda Amaze Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. said, “The 2nd Generation Honda Amaze set a new benchmark in its segment with over 20% of our customers opting for advanced CVT variants in both petrol and diesel. We are delighted to introduce the new VX CVT variant of Honda Amaze to complete the top spec VX range and offer increased choice to our customers.”

Some of the addition features, the new Vx CVT gets steering mounted voice controls, rear view camera with guidelines, IR remote control and driver side window one touch up with pinch guard. It also gets a 17.7cm advanced touchscreen infortainment system with inbuilt satellite linked turn by turn navigation and Seamless Smartphone connectivity with Android auto and Apple CarPlay.
In view of the upcoming safety regulations set to begin July 1st 2019. Honda has equipeied the Amaze safety line-up with front passenger seat belt reminder and high speed alarm as standard application. Otherwise the Amaze always came with standard parking sensors, ABS, dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, impact sensing door unlock right from time of launch back in May 2018.
Powering the Amaze is a 1.2 and 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2 litre petrol produces 90 PS at 6000rpm, while the 1.5 litre diesel on the other hand churns out 100 PS at 3600rpm. Transmission options range from speed manual and first in class CVT automatic gearbox for both petrol and diesel engine options.
The Japanese automaker has also stated that the 2nd generation Amaze has been most successful launch of 2018. According HCIL, the Amaze contributed 46% of the total sales in FY 2018-19 and registered over 85,000 units sold since its official debut in May 2018. Which is the fastest sales number recorded by any new model launched in India by Honda.
