Honda Cars India has launched an updated City sedan priced at Rs 12.75,000 Lakhs ( ex showroom).The 2019 Honda City line-up is spread across four grades S, SV, VX and ZX.
In the 2019 Honda City, buyers can purchase the petrol powered City in the top-spec ZX trim mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Something most buyers have been demanding for a long time now.
Honda has also added more kit to the midsize sedan which includes rear parking sensors offered as standard and two new colours. The new colours introduced are Radiant red metallic and lunar silver metallic.
Speaking on the introduction of the enriched Honda City, Mr. Rajesh Goel, Sr. Vice President and Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd said “We are delighted to introduce the new ZX variant of the Honda City petrol with a manual transmission to complete the top-spec ZX range and offer increased choice to customers. The addition of new colours and standard application of rear parking sensors will further strengthen the City offering in the market.”
Features available on the newly added variant includes Automatic headlamps with auto off timer, automatic rain sensing wipers, Electric sunroof with one touch open/close function and auto reverse, Advanced 17.7cm Digipad touchscreen infotainment system and R16 Diamond cut multi spoke alloy wheels.
Honda has also added a LED lighting package that includes LED daytime running lights, LED headlamps, LED fog lights, LED rear combination lamps, LED license plate lamps and Trunk lid spoiler with LED light.
Under its hood, the Honda City draws power from a 119ps 1.5 litre petrol and 100 ps 1.5 litre diesel engines mated to 5-speed manual and 7-speed CVT in petrol guise and 6-speed manual for the diesel powered car. On the safety side, the 2019 City is offered with 6 airbags including front, side, curtain, driver and front passenger airbags.
The Honda City takes on the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna and Skoda Rapid when it comes to competition.
