Honda teases BS6 Jazz, WR-V facelift pre bookings opened

jazz

Honda’s Jazz and WR-V have long been serving as an entry level hatchback following the discontinuing of the humble Brio from the Indian market. However the automaker feels it’s about time both the models got an update to keep things fresh.

Honda has now released teasers of the facelifted Jazz and WR-V on its website hinting that a launch is around the corner. However while globally the third generation Jazz is already on sale, India will continue with the current generation model for a longer period. This move also rules out the possibility of the next generation’s arrival to Indian shores anytime soon.

One thing is clear though is that both the Jazz and the WR-V will be BS6 right from launch and will be offered in petrol and diesel engines as well. Where what will change on the new Jazz in terms of design changes and interior upgrades are under wraps, details on the updated WR-V are out on the carmakers website.

The new WR-V will continue with the crossover like look on the outside with rugged cladding and large alloy wheels, however for 2020, it will receive a redesigned front and rear bumpers, a bolder chrome grille upfront along with an all LED lighting package. The package will include LED lighting treatment for the headlamps, daytime running lights, fog lights and rear combination lamps.

Mr Rajesh Goel, SVP & Director, Sales & Marketing, Honda Cars India Ltd. Said, “We are glad to open the bookings for the New WR-V which will go on sale later this month. We are confident that the model’s bolder new look, stylish LED package and premium interiors will appeal to our discerning customers who are looking for status, comfort and have an active life style.” “The new WR-V will be launched in both Petrol and Diesel version compliant with BS-6 emission norms,” he added.

WR-V

Pre-bookings for the 2020 WR-V have are being accepted by the automaker and customers can book theirs by making an initial payment of Rs 21,000. This booking amount with the current pandemic situation arising in the country can be made online the website at www.hondacarindia.com .

Considering that the pre-bookings for the WR-V have been opened by the automaker, it would be safe to say that the bookings for the Jazz too have been opened, however an official announcement has not been made yet by Honda.

Stay tuned for more details on the updated WR-V and Jazz 2020 in the coming days.
