Kawasaki has launched the much anticipated Ninja 400 in Goa. The Ninja 400 is a lightweight high-performance motorcycle that offers sporty excitement to the riders.
The Kawasaki Ninja 400 will be sold alongside the Ninja 300 but in limited numbers.
Based on a steel terrils frame which is said to be similar in design to the Ninja H2, the Ninja 400 has a kerb weight of 168kg which is lighter than its predecessor and has a 13.8 litre fuel tank. The Ninja 400 features a Swingarm mounting plate which allows the swingarm to be affixed to the rear of the engine thus contributing to stability
Clad in a sharp new Ninja design, the styling of the Ninja 400 is sure to seek attention wherever it goes. The bike gets twin LED headlamps, fairing mounted rear view mirrors, LED taillamps and part analogue part digital instrument cluster with analogue tachometer.
Powering the bike is 399cc liquid cooled parallel twin cylinder motor which churns out 49hp and 38Nm torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and uses an assist slipper clutch as standard.
The Suspension is a 41mm telescopic fork up front and gas charged monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by 310mm disc at the front the largest in the segment and 220 mm petal disc at the rear with Nissin ABS being offered as standard.
The Kawasaki Ninja 400 will be assembled at the company plant in Chakan Pune and will be sold exclusively in the green KRT edition colour only.
