Maruti Suzuki launches Swift limited edition

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Swift limited edition in the Indian market. The new Swift limited edition has been priced at Rs lakhs (ex showroom prices) and can be had in all variants Lxi, Vxi and Zxi.

New on the limited edition Swift visually is a body kit that adds a touch of black dominance to the Swift’s already sporty credentials. It gets a glossy black kit which includes front bumper, the side profile and rear as well.

Also on offer is a glossy black front grille, door visor, body side moulding and an aerodynamic spoiler. Further adding an extra touch of sportiness are the tailamps garnish and fog lamp bezel which also come finished in black. On the inside the Swift limited edition comes with sporty seat covers as the only change in the cabin.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Maruti Suzuki Swift has been a preferred choice amongst the youth for over a decade now for being a sporty, stylish and fun to drive car. Since launch, with its disruptive looks and peppy performance, Swift has been one of the best performers in our portfolio and helped us strengthen leadership in the premium hatchback segment. Over the 3 generations Swift has evolved in features, looks and technology, often defining the changes in aspiration and preferences of Indian car customers. Today, we are happy to announce the launch of the bolder and sportier Swift Limited Edition to add a boost of excitement amidst such unprecedented times. For all Swift enthusiasts and fans this Limited Edition offers a new way to reflect their personality in a stylish, sporty and young way.”

Mechanically the Swift limited edition is the same; it comes powered by the same 1.2 litre petrol engine which makes 82bhp and 115Nm of torque. Transmission options also include the same 5-speed manual and automatic.

Maruti Suzuki states that customers will have to shell out an extra Rs 24,990 for the limited edition depending on the variant chosen.
