Maruti Suzuki is busy gearing up to launch the S-Presso on the 30th of this month; however the small car has now been spied undisguised at a dealer yard. This suggests that dealer dispatches have begun and so have the dealer trainings as well.
Taking cues from the Concept S showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, the S-Presso gets a safe design with squared off and upright design bits. It also gets a Vitara Brezza inspired grille, flat bonnet, large side windows along with small headlamps and taillamps. There’s also a genuine use of black plastic cladding all around the car and it does sport higher ground clearance to go with the SUV look.
The interior too will borrow heavily from the Concept S, with a large dial in the centre of the dashboard. The dial will act as a hub for holding the digital instrument cluster and infortainment system that will come with Maruti’s latest Smartplay studio and could get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Spy images have further revealed that the cabin will sport grey interiors with colour coded bits for a touch of exclusivity.
Though engine details are still under wraps, the S-Presso is confirmed to get the 1.0 litre petrol unit from the K10 that will be BS6 right from day 1. Power, torque and mileage figures will however be retuned for better performance.
Stay tuned for full details of the S-Presso in the coming days considering the launch is just around the corner. Pricing could stay in the range of Rs 3-5lakhs probably. But what’s your guess; let us know in the comments section below.
