Mercedes Benz has launched the facelifted C Class sedan priced at Rs 40.00 Lakhs (Ex showroom Delhi).
The biggest change on the new C lies under the hood; the car will be available only in diesel for now and petrol will follow later. The oil burner powering the car is a brand new BS6 compliant 1950cc four cylinder engine that comes in two states of tune. A 194bhp and 400 Nm in the C220D and 241bhp and 500 Nm C300. Transmission options include a 9G-Tronic gearbox that can sprint the sedan from 0 – 100kmph in 5.9 seconds. .
Visually it’s hard to identify the facelift on the new C-class but as you get closer, you’ll notice the diamond studded front grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers along with LED headlamps and taillamps.
The interior has been updated with dual touchpad’s, a new steering wheel and a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system. Mercedes Benz is also offering Active park assist on the AMG variant.
The new Mercedes Benz C -class will take on the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Volvo S60 in the Indian market.
