Mercedes Benz has launched the new GLC facelift at the Brand Tour held in Goa. New on the 2020 GLC facelift is an updated exterior and interior along with BS6 petrol and diesel engines.
The 2020 spec GLC facelift receives minor updates in the form of restyled LED headlamps and taillamps, a tweaked front grille and revised bumpers as well, while on the inside too changes are minimal. The highlight of the updates on the inside includes a 10.25 inch touchscreen infortainment system that comes with MBUX interface. The interface is said to be loaded with features with voice commands saying “Hey Mercedes” being one of them. There’s a new optional wood finish for the centre console and a new touchpad to control the touchscreen as well.
Powering the GLC are 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines that confirm to BS6 specifications which are set to roll out starting April 2020. The 2.0 litre petrol puts out 197bhp and 320Nm of torque, while the diesel version produces 194bhp and 400Nm of torque. Transmission options for both motors include a 9-speed automatic transmission and the automakers 4MATIC all wheel drive as standard.
Coming to the competition, the Mercedes Benz GLC facelift rivals the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60 and the BMW X3.
