At a time when AMT’s have been gaining popularity with almost each and every car manufacturer switching over, Maruti Suzuki has been spotted testing the new generation Ertiga with an automatic gearbox.
The Automatic gearbox on the new generation Ertiga isn’t an AMT unit but a conventional torque converter unit like the current car uses. The India spec Ertiga has started testing in India and images of the MPV under total camaflouge have surfaced online.
Leaked images suggest that the India spec Ertiga will have a near identical interior and dashboard setup like the one unveiled internationally a few months back. However climate control, wood trim for dashboard and push button start/stop will be offered on higher trims.
Engine options could include the all new 1.5 litre petrol engine and 1.3 litre diesel engines. Transmissions include a 5-speed manual and 4 speed automatic gearbox options.
Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the new generation Ertiga by Diwali this year.
