A new generation Mercedes Benz S-class is headed our way and the first images have been leaked online. Yes, you heard it true a brand new generation S-class code-named W223 will be heading to our shores soon.
The new Mercedes Benz S-class may not exactly look brand new in its design but is actually an all new car, there’s a new triple slat chrome grille, a fresh pair of new LED headlamps and a new bumper as well. The rear however an angular yet sharper looking LED taillamps connected by a thick chrome bar, one will also notice the dual exhaust and reflectors tucked perfectly into the bumper.
The interior is a major step up from the version we see today, the cabin is now minimalistic in its design with almost no buttons in existence. Instead there are two large touchscreen systems, landscape for the instrument binnacle and portrait for the infotainment. The central A/C vents have also been placed a little further away from the centre console giving a clean look to the inside.

The three spoke steering wheel is new and gets controls mounted on it with a two on either side split combination. Also clearly visible is the push button for the start/stop operation placed solo in the cabin.
Another image in the fray reveals the rear seat entertainment package which includes two front seat mounted touchscreens mounted in the front seat. Further we can also rear A/C vents and display screen probably for the temperature display and a centre armrest with its own set of controls.

Engine options haven’t been revealed yet, but considering the current limousine is offered in a BS6 ready engine, it would be safe to expect the same 350d six cylinder diesel engine under the hood. However a clearer picture on the engine specs should emerge closer to launch.
