Honda is finally getting set to launch the fifth generation CR-V in India this October. The flagship product will finally have the all important Earth dreams diesel engine under its hood and get seven seats as well.
Features that will be available on the 2018 CR-V will include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, Sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual zone climate control and leather upholstery.
Power for the 2018 CR-V will come from a 1.6 litre, four cylinder single turbo diesel engine which will churn out 120bhp and 300 Nm of torque and a 2.0 litre petrol motor that will put out 154bhp and 192Nm of torque.
Other technical information will include a 4 wheel drive and 9-speed automatic transmission, while the petrol will come mated to a CVT gearbox but will be offered with front wheel drive option only
Honda is expected to assemble the CR-V in India in favour of juicer pricing but expect the SUV to be priced in the region of Rs 27 Lakhs to Rs 30 Lakhs which puts it straight into Toyota Fortuner and Skoda Kodiaq segment.
