Hyundai Motor India has been spotted testing the new facelifted Creta SUV in the Indian market. The new Creta facelift is expected to get improved exterior styling and more features on the inside.
Launched in 2020, the second generation Creta has been a runaway success for the company with over 1.21 lakhs units sold with the current scenario demanding a waiting period of anything between 24-32 weeks depending on the variant, colour and region.
Although heavily camofloudged, a new front grille similar to the new generation Hyundai Tucson can be seen along with new LED lights. Speaking about the headlights it remains to be seen if the Korean automaker changes the c-pattern split headlights upfront or sticks to it. The rear too could see a fully redesign with a new tailgate and LED taillights. Last but not the least a fresh new set of alloy wheels could also make an appearance.
The interior of the Hyundai Creta has been well subscribed to by the Indian audience however what has changed in the cabin has not been revealed in the spy shots. A new set of features could easily be part of the package along with new colour tones.
Engines could also see a power and torque bump, currently the Creta comes with a choice of engines which include a 1.5 litre petrol, a 1.4 litre turbo petrol, a 1.5 litre diesel along with manual, DCT automatic and iMT (intelligent manual transmission).
Competition in the Creta segment is already intense with a long list of models present in the segment. The segment if at all is only expected to expand with many more models set to enter the heavily competitive spot with and fresh introductions set to be the VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
Hyundai could launch the Creta facelift towards the Q3 2021 or Q1 2022 which would be an ideal time for an updated Creta’s debut. Meanwhile the 7 seat Hyundai Alacazar will debut in a month or two.
