New Hyundai Creta gainers over 55k bookings

Hyundai India has announced that the new generation Creta has been a runaway success for the company. The Second generation launched in March has recorded well over 55,000 bookings pan India.

Attaining its leadership in the SUV segment with highest sales ever recorded in the month of May and June 2020, the Creta saw 60% customers preferring the diesel version indicating a strong demand. The new Creta is also said to be the most researched model on India’s first and most comprehensive end-to-end car buying platform ‘Click to Buy’ with over 30% customers enquiring about the car.

The new Creta now in its second generation comes packed with features, there’s LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, voice enabled Panoramic sunroof, Bose sound system, Air Purifier, front ventilated seats, paddle shifters, wireless charging, digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, rear sunshade, leatherette seats and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system comes loaded with tech such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Blu Link connectivity. The Blu Link feature on the Creta is said to be a far advanced feature that the one that debuted on the Venue. It boats of offering 50+ connectivity features, many of which are voice enabled or can be controlled from the Smartphone app.

Under the hood, the Creta in its second generation receives three engine options –

  1. 5 litre petrol with 115hp and 14.7 kgm of torque and 6-speed manual/automatic

  1. 5 litre diesel with 115hp and 25.5kgm of torque and 6-speed manual/automatic


  1. 4 litre turbo GDi petrol churning out 140ps and 24.7kgm of torque and 7-speed dual clutch automatic with paddle shifters.

Talking about safety, the Korean automaker is offering electronic parking brake (for auto only), driver rear view monitor, tyre pressure monitor, ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, Electronic stability control, rear wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, vehicle stability control, hill assist control, buglar alarm and an Emergency stop signal. The new Creta also gets what Hyundai calls a strong AHSS body structure which can is said to be made of higher strength steel and stronger materials.

The new Creta also gets complete peace of mind  with wonder warranty options which includes – 3 Years/unlimited kms or 4 years/60 000 kms or 5 years/50 000 kms.

As many as 10 exciting paint schemes  are available including Polar white, Typhoon silver, Phantom black, Lava orange, Titan grey, Deep forest (turbo only), Galaxy blue and new Mulberry red. On the dual tone side Polar White with Phantom Black and Lava Orange with Phantom Black are on the options list.
