Nissan India is gearing up to launch the Kicks SUV in India. The company has started dispatching the models to the dealership as spotted at a Nissan showroom in Goa.
Bookings for the Kicks had begun in December for an amount of Rs 25,000
The Japanese car manufacturer had earlier showcased the Kicks at a preview followed by media drives as well. The India spec Kicks will be larger in size and measures 4,384 in length, 1,813mm in width, 1,656mm in height and uses a wheelbase of 2,673mm.
As reported earlier, the Kicks will be based on the V platform and have unique styling bits over the global model. It gets a V-motion grille up front with a larger bumper housing faux inlets and fog lamps, while an allumium skid plate and an Orange finish for the roof are part of the package.
The interior will also be roomier and more spacious than the global model. However it will still be a five seater SUV. The cabin receives premium looking brown and black dual tone colour scheme that will match the seat upholstery as well. Features that will be offered on the Kicks include rear A/C vents, 8.0 inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, push button start/stop, 360 degree camera and cruise control.
Under its hood will be 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engines. Transmission options include 5-speed manual for the petrol and 6-speeder for the diesel, there is no talk about an auto variant as of now, but it could come at a later stage.
Nissan hasn’t disclosed any pricing details as of now, but expect pricing to stay competitive enough to give a tuff time to the Hyundai Creta and Renault Captur.
