Nissan launches new updated Kicks and base XE trim for Kicks diesel

Nissan has launched an updated Kicks in the market, the update for the Kicks includes a new variant positioned as a base diesel trim below the XL and added features to the other trims in the Kicks line-up. Prices for the new XE diesel trim starts at Rs 9.89 lakhs which is a whole 12 lakhs cheaper than the XL trim.

Speaking about its features, the new base XE diesel comes with

  1. Cooled and illuminated glovebox

  2. 2-din integrated audio system with 4-speakers

  3. Automatic climate control

  4. ABS

  5. Dual airbags

  6. Rear parking sensors

  7. Nissan’s Connect system

The XL diesel trim in addition gets –

  1. Dual tone front bumper with metallic black,

  2. Body colour and silver add on, satin skid plate,

  3. Rear wiper,

  4. Steering mounted audio controls,

  5. 8.0 inch touchscreen infortainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and voice recognition,

  6. Front fog lamps,

  7. Rear armrest with cupholders,

  8. Functional roof rails,

  9. Eco mode,

  10. Vehicle dynamic control

  11. 5-spoke R17 diamond cut alloy wheels.


Next up, the XV diesel variant in addition receives –

  1. LED projector headlamps

  2. Electric adjust for wing mirrors,

  3. Leather wrapped steering wheel,

  4. Leather wrapped gearknob with chrome finish,

  5. 2 tweeters,

  6. Cruise control,

  7. Hill start assist,

  8. Rear reading lamps

  9. Rear trunk garnish

The XV Pre diesel in addition brings –

  1. Halogen headlamps with LED signature lamps

  2. Wheel arch cladding, side moulding

The XL petrol gets –

  1. 6-way power seat recline, height adjustment and slide function

  2. Electric adjust for wing mirrors

  6. Fabric based door pad for front and rear armrest

  7. One touch anti-pinch windows

  8. Power steering with tilt function

  9. Central locking with child lock function

  10. Auto speed sensing lock and impact sensing unlock

Last but not the least, the XV petrol receives added features such as –

Powering the Kicks is the same 1.5 litre motor putting out 108 bhp and 240 Nm of torque, while the diesel 1.5 litre on the other hand 110ps and 240 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual only, sadly there’s no automatic option for either of the two engines on offer.
