French car manufacturer, Renault has launched the new Duster facelift with a price tag of Rs 7, 99,000 (ex showroom prices). The new Duster is offered in 4 trims, three gearbox options and two engine options with two states of tune in diesel.
The 2019 Renault Duster gets a tri-winged chrome front grille flanked by new projector headlamps with daytime running lamps and a flatter bonnet design. It also gets new front and rear bumpers and redesigned tailgate with black plastic cladding, new waterfall effect taillamps, new roof rails and new front fog lamp housing with thick chrome appliqué. The updated Duster also rides on 215/65 section tyres paired to R16 diamond cut alloy wheels.
The cabin design remains the same overall; however it now sports a brand new steering wheel, new ice blue graphics for the instrument cluster, upgraded infortainment system and rectangular centre air con vents. The dashboard colour scheme is also carried on untempered, but what’s new is a new body coloured insert at the front passenger side of the dash and Duster badging in bold and blue gazed seat fabric.
In terms of features, the new Duster gets 17.64cm touchscreen infortainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice guide and Eco guide, Other features on offer include a 4-speaker Arkamys sound system with 2 tweeters, cooled and illuminated upper glovebox, one touch turn indicators, height adjustable driver seat with lumbar support and soft touch steering mounted audio and cruise control.
Powering the redesigned SUV is a brand new 1.5 litre petrol motor that produces 106PS and 142Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5–speed CVT and manual transmission. The diesel on the flipside the diesel continues to be offered in two states of tune 85 PS or 110 PS.

The former produces 85PS and 200 Nm of torque, while the former churns out 110PS and 245 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the diesel includes a 6-speed manual and AMT for the 110PS variant, while the lesser powered 85 PS gets only a 5-speed manual.
On the safety front, Renault has kitted the Duster with ABS with EBD, dual airbags, hill start assist, reverse parking camera and Electronic stability program. Confirming to the newly introduced safety norms is a Speed limiter, reverse parking sensors and driver and passenger seatbelt warning.
Renault has also added two new colours to the Duster colour line-up such as Casplan blue and Mahogany brown. It is also available in Cayenne orange, Slate grey, outback bronze, Moonlight silver and Pearl white.
