Renault has announced that its new mini MPV the Triber has scaled new with 10,000 units sold in the Indian market from day of launch. Incidentally the Triber had been launched just two months back and has ensured Renault’s progress despite a challenging environment in India.
The French automaker has also stated that the Triber has achieved 63% market share with 11,516 cars wholesaled in October 2019. Though it’s no hard kept secret that the overwhelming demand for the Triber has led to a long waiting period as well. The Triber demands a waiting period for almost 2 months with 170 bookings received till date in Goa.
Designed with the Indian customer in mind, the Triber has exceeded customer expectations and led to an immense overall satisfaction. Renault says “Customers are highly satisfied with the Triber’s outstanding quality and superior value package of being attractively designed modular, spacious and well equipeied too.”
Built on the CMF-A platform, the Triber comes in four variants Rxe, Rxl, Rxt and Rxz, and 5 colours namely – Electric blue, fiery red, metal mustard, Moonlight silver and Ice cool white and one single engine/ transmission option. The engine in question is a 1.0 litre three cylinder Energy petrol engine that produces 72 PS and 96 Nm of torque and comes with dual VVT system. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual only, while mileage figures stand at 20.5kmpl.

Renault has also in the meantime introduced 15-inch alloy wheels as standard on the top spec Rxz trim. The alloys replace the 14-inchers on offer earlier and come wrapped in thicker 185/65 section tyres.
