Tata motors have introduced a new and upgraded versions of the performance oriented Tiago and Tigor JTP. Prices for the new cars start at Rs 6.99 lakhs and Rs 7.99 lakhs (ex showroom prices)
Commenting on the launch of the new JTP variants, Mr. Nagbhushan Gubbi (CEO), JTSV said, ”Last year has seen the JTP brand establish as an exciting prospect and a brand which has carved its own cult following in the auto performance segment. It is now time to switch gears and speed ahead. With immense excitement, we are elated to announce the launch of the new avatar of the JTP twins. Built for the racers at heart, the new JTP tuned versions sport stylish contrast coloured wing mirrors with auto fold function and piano black shark fin antenna. Extending the comfort and entertainment levels on the inside is the fully automatic temperature control and 7-inch Connect Next touchscreen infortainment system. The infortainment system comes with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay based on customer feedback.
Under the hood of both the cars is a 1.2 litre turbocharged Revotron petrol motor that produces 114PS of power and 150 Nm of torque. The Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and offers optimized gear ratios with superior acceleration and exciting performance. Tata says the JTP models are capable of attaining a top speed of 160kmph and can go from 0-100kmph in 10 seconds.
Buyers do have to note that these cars are sold through exclusive dealerships only and not through regular dealerships. The list includes– Ahmadabad, Bangalore, Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Kangra, Kannur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Thane, and Thrissur. Sadly Goa is not on the list leaving enthusiasts wishing to get their hands on the sporty models.
