Toyota has launched the new Fortuner TRD celebration edition priced at Rs 33, 85,000 lakhs (ex showroom prices). The new TRD celebration edition can be had only in diesel engine and a pearl white dual tone paint scheme.
Ridding on the success of its predecessors, the rollout is timed just ahead of the festive season. However the new version is set to capture the imagination of its consumers. The Fortuner TRD Sportivo celebration edition comes with tough new and stylish features which include TRD radiator grille finish, stylish front and rear bumper spoiler, dual tone roof, sporty 18-inch charcoal black alloy wheels, iconic TRD red emblem and Fortuner 10 year’s emblem. On the inside it gets sporty black and maroon leather seats and red accents on the upholstery.
On the features front, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo celebration edition continues to offer the same feature list as before. It gets LED projector headlamps, smart entry with push button start/stop, electrically adjustable and retractable wing mirrors, LED rear combination lamp, 7-inch touchscreen with navigation, large TFT multi- instrument display, automatic climate control, 8-way adjustable and powered driver and co-driver seat and Cruise control.
Powering the mammoth sized SUV is a 2.8 litre diesel engine that produces 130kw of power 3400rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 1600-200rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed sequential shift gearbox and gets paddle shifters along with automatic idle start/stop function as well.
In terms of safety, the special edition Fortuner gets 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill assist control, brake assist, vehicle stability control and Emergency brake signal. The Toyota Fortuner rivals the Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas G4.
