TVS Motor Company, a reputed manufacturer of two and three wheelers has launched a new platform called TVS Built to Order platform. The new platform aims at providing customers a series of customization options for their favorite two wheelers.
Marking its foray into factory customisation and personalisation platform, TVS aims at providing customers a new business vertical platform (‘Built to Order’ (BTO) platform) which will empower the customers to customise and personalise their vehicles at a time of purchase. Once order is placed, the customisation will be carried out directly at factory itself. TVS says this move further strengthens the company’s commitment by introducing first-in-class technologies and class-leading features in the segment.
The just introduced Built to Order Platform has marked its debut on the automakers flagship Apache RR 310 for now and should trickle down to other models in TVS two wheeler line-up in the not so distant future.
Customers can select pre-set kits, graphic options, rim colour options and personalised race numbers. The kits namely known as Dynamic and Race, offer an array of features that further accentuate performance and styling as per customers’ usage and needs.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Meghashyam Dighole, Head – (Marketing) Premium Motorcycles, TVS Motor Company, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of the new business vertical, the TVS ‘Built To Order’ (BTO), our first factory Customise-Personalise platform. Each customer has a unique riding style and expression. This platform empowers our customers to customize and personalize their machines as per their requirements.
Celebrating four decades of racing pedigree, TVS is also offering enthusiasts special ‘Race Replica’ graphic inspired by TVS Racing OMC race machines. Customers will have two pre-defined kits namely, Dynamic kit and Race kit.
The Dynamic kit includes fully adjustable front and rear suspension that offers multi-level adjustment of preload, rebound and compression damping. Riders with this pack can adjust the suspension as per their preference, riding style or given road conditions.
On the other hand, the Race kit includes race ergonomics that caters to race enthusiasts who like to burn rubber on the tracks. This kit consists of a more aggressive and tucked in handlebar; rear set raised footrest, and knurled foot pegs, that allows for a higher lean angle on the corners and better straight-line stability. This kit also comes with an anti-rust brass coated drive chain to accentuate the style of the motorcycle.
Upon completion of the customisation options, the total ex showroom cost of the motorcycle will be updated simultaneously. After paying for the booking amount online, customers can select the nearest premium dealership for the delivery of their motorcycle. Tracking their order across various stages will also be made available on the TVS ARIVE app or the web configuration. Downloading option of which will be available through Google Playstore and Apple App Store for iOS.
Meanwhile the two wheeler automaker is working on an upgraded Apache RR 310 motorcycle with more features. The new range of Apache RR 310 motorcycles will come with racier exhausts note, improved lean angle and unique wave bite key. The connected cluster will also be updated with host of new features like Digidocs – an app that lends riders access to documents such as license, RC cards on the cluster via the TVS connect app. A dynamic engine rev limit indicator, day trip meter and over speed indicator will be part of the new introductions on the cluster as well.
Good news is that all is not over for existing TVS Apache RR 310 customers, who can avail some of the features as accessories. The accessories namely include the race handlebar, race footrest, race foo tpeg. The cluster features can be had in the form of software updates which can be retrofitted to their motorcycles.
